"Angel Dream (Songs and Music from the Motion Picture She’s The One) is billed as a “reimagined version” of the Ed Burns film that Petty scored in 1996, but the end product is a more cogent Petty album, instead of a loose collection of songs supporting a movie." REVIEW: Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers "Angel Dream" "In this reconfigured form, including not only original material but also some choice covers, a tightly woven forty-two minutes allows the bandleader to alternately bare his soul and let it rock." TOM PETTY DISPLAYS CREATIVE REVISION ON 'ANGEL DREAM: SONGS AND MUSIC FOR THE MOTION PICTURE SHE’S THE ONE' (ALBUM REVIEW) Angel Dream is grounded in grunge era rock renditions and includes a special collection of Beck, Lucinda Williams, and JJ Cale covers, as well as previously unreleased originals, including the lead single “105 Degrees”. The songs for this reissue were chosen as a standalone body of work to complement the release of Wildflowers & All The Rest. Ryan Ulyate, Tom’s longtime engineer and co-producer, worked with Tom on mixes for Angel Dream before his passing. The original 1996 album was produced by Tom Petty and Rick Rubin with Mike Campbell during the band’s highly collaborative period with Rick Rubin in the ‘90s. The reimagined Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ album Angel Dream (Songs and Music from the Motion Picture “She’s The One”) is out today and widely available everywhere on CD, black vinyl, and digital download.
